The popular Cateran Trail starts in Blairgowrie, which is a circular 64 mile circular walk for moderate fitness levels. Trout fishing and golfing are also available almost from the doorstep.

Marina Cottages overlook Tewitfield Lock on the Lancaster Canal which uniquely follows the natural lie of the land and has the longest stretch of canal in the country without a lock. A waterbus now runs on the canal during the summer months, reviving a 200 year old tradition, and a day out at Carnforth and Lancaster is a leisurely cruise away.

 

Situated on the Lancashire and Cumbria border, these units provide a great base to explore between these counties. It is only a short 15 - 20 mile drive to get to Kendal or Windermere or you could go in other directions to either Lancaster, Morecambe Bay or even the Yorkshire Dales. Ideally situated for a very full packed adventurous holiday. The units overlook the marina and you can chose between ground or first floor. Each will have either a terrace or balcony to give you the felling of privacy. All properties are 5*.
